Meet up with TCM Physician

Hi All,

To some self research, am meeting a TCM Physician who is expertise in fertility. Reason to see him, to help me to have medications to warm and care for womb, fallopian tubes and egg quality.

The clinic located at 

Ban Choon Wah

First Consultation on 5 Oct 15

First sight in the physician room, there is a lot photos of mummies who is like me having fertility issue and lots of babies picture taken with him and a thank you note from the mommies to him which gave me a confidence in the physiscian as i hope that i would have not chose the wrong ones. At the end of the day, its GODs will.

- Physician has no much comment, he prescribe two bottle of natural  herbs medication for giving the eggs a good quality and lining for implantation. 

He told me if i would have come my mensus, he told me to stop  and to see him again between my 1-4 days of mensus. To my counting, i will have my first menses as my ovulation has passed for that month before my surgery( never expect for pregnancy that month). I jus carry on with the medication even though i know it will not happen on that month.

Total cost $ 84 ($64 fr medication + Consultation at your own cost) 

2nd Consultation on 13 Oct 15 ( 2nd day Mensus) 

-  Physician has provide me a ovulation chart. He told me to indicate my body temperature every day the moment i open my eyes from my sleep before i get up from my bed.

- He advised me to make love with my hubby between day 12 - day 20.. as one of this date will be my ovulation day.

- He prescribe me new herbs medication two more bottles to take during my menstrual cycle and continue the old bottle prescription once the new prescription completed.

- He arrange me to meet him after the 3 bottles completed.

Total cost for the day: $74 ( Consultation + medication)

PS :Day by day, i have more confidence for having a baby..Hopefully this journey will bless me with one. 

Things that am avoiding now:

Cold Drinks

Spicy Food

Any cold products like ice cream 

Less caffeine

Things am having now :

Having at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetable.

Drink MILO instead of coffee

Folic acid ever morning

Good rest before my hospitalisation leave ends

NO more carry heavy stuff

Any food from the fridge like fruits, i will take out for 10 minutes before i consume.

If i have cravings for syrups or sweet drinks, i will put half warm water in it so that it wont be a cold syrup drink.

No more coconut drink which use to be my favorite especially in this haze weather.

No more watermelon which use to be my favorite fruit as i heard from my parents that it was a cold fruit to consume in tummy. i replace it with banana, apple, grapes.

To keep my womb warm, Wear socks to keep my foot warm all day. as i heard that our main veins are at our foot as explained by the foot reflexology which i use to love doing foot reflexology with my mummy. Jus being extra care to my womb..hahahaa!

Watever i take and do not take are advised by the gynae physician, parent(olden days pantang), and reflexology speacialist. I did it for my extra care.

Follow up with Dr Hemashree At SGH

My continuation of my baby making journey..

I met Dr Hemashree in Care Centre at Singapore General Hospital. Truthfully throughout my experience in other hospitals, i love getting her as my gynae. The reasons of her being my wonderful gynae, here is how she did her job FAST and Efficient!!

First Trip to SGH and First Day Consultation with dr Hemashree (First Consultation)
- Both ultrasound ( Tummy and Vaginal) to check if my womb has any growth and to check if the fallopian tubes are swollen. The result is out after the ultrasound completed and report given to Dr Hemashree immediately on the same day. Results: There is no swollen tubes and found polyps in my womb.

- Pap Smear ( to check for any cancer symptom) . Result was mail to my address and there is no cancer found!!! Great news to me!

- Dr Hemashree advised to do a laparoscopy for rmy Fallopian tubes if it block again (which i had once a block right fallopian tubes which been unblock and left Fallopian tube has ectopic pregnancy remove. Due to this, it may be effected for blockage again in my tube). And hysteroroscopy to clear the polyps in the womb. This will be a minor surgery schedule on the 1 Oct 15.

- She arrange 2nd Consultation on 29  Sep 15 before she proceed for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy procedure and to check the hormone blood test result is good and the semen test is perfect. IF she found that the semen test is not good (at times not only the woman has the problem issues), she may cancel of both procedure to do certain checks before she consider again.

- Pre Admission Counselling for the surgery arrange on 1 Oct 15  in O&G Clinic

For the above Test and consultation Fees i spent to $310 ( Consultation + Ultrasound+ Pap Smear)


2nd Trip to to SGH for blood Test and Semen Test (No consultation that day)

- Dr Hemashree request me to do a hormone blood test on my 2-4 days menstrual cycle and a semen test to check if my hubby sperms are doing good. My hubby and i did those test on the 11 Sep 15 on the same day

For the total cost : $$260 ( hormone blood test = Semen Test)

3rd Trip to SGH (Consultation with Dr Hemashreee) and Pre Admission Surgery 29 Sep 15

- Bed Booking for the surgery and Full Count blood Test before the surgery ( all included in the surgery bills which i claim using my Insurance . Bill amounted to $8900 (B1 ward)

- Meet Dr Hemashree at 3m, Result of hormone blood test and semen test is perfect. So she proceed with both surgeries on 1 Oct. She advise me that she will remove the tubes if she found any swollen or blocked tubes as i have a history before, there is no point me keeping it if  the tubes are damage for twice which i agree, and she will remove the polyps found in the womb too.

Total cost for the day : $87 (Consultation)

4th Trip to SGH ( Surgery Day and Warded ) 1 Oct 15

- Surgery was done on 1 Oct at about 1150hrs. (Hysteroscopy+Bigatti Resecyion of Endometrial Polyp+Laparoscopic Hydrotubation + Left Salpingectomy)

- Awake at 1445hrs somewhere in the theatre room.

-  They push me to the ward at 1500hrs.

- on 2 Oct, Dr hemashree came and see me in the morning and told me wat she did in the theatre room. To my surprise, one of my Fallopian tubes on the right are save! and doing good! My left tube has been removed as it was blocked and damage( the picture shows it is twisted). My right tubes at first was found stuck in between the intestines and she manage to remove it nicely and place a special glue to avoid it get stuck again. i was relieved and happy and she was looking happy too when she came to know that my right tube will be doing good! which she expect that the both tubes might be removed due to my previous history. She told me that she wants me to conceive naturally in six months, IF it fails, IVF is the option as she does not want any delay due to my age.

- Discharge on the 3 Oct 15 and was on 3 weeks hospitalisation leave.. Next appointment with Dr Hemashree on the 9 Oct 15.


5th trip to SGH ( Consulatation for post ops) 9 Oct

- Meet Dr Hemashree and she check on wounds which is getting better and told me to have a good rest. She advised me to try out for 3months naturally instead of 6 months as SGH IVF clinic will not be open for booking from FEB 16- June 16. As she does not want to delay, she wants to see me on Jan 16 and fix for an IVF Counselling on 13 Jan 16. If i was found pregnant before Jan 16, she will cancel the IVF Counselling,

- Urine Test to check for any infections

Total cost for the day : $212. (Consultation and Urine Test)

The hospitalisation leave 

During my hospitalisation leave, i google to find wat is good to make me high chance of natural conceiving, i decided to meet  a TCM Gynae Physician.

Baby Making Journey

Starting of our prject,

Hi All, 

Am planning for a child in my second marriage. Am 30 years old who have been going through hard time conceiving since my first marriage. I was married for 4 years in my first marriage (2008-2012). 

In 2010, i decided to meet a gynae in KK Woman Hospital and chose Dy Kelly Loi who is expertise in infertility. We have actually decided for an IVF which Dr  Kelly has told us to do some check before we proceed for an IVF. I was told to do the HSG Test (Insert Blue dye). The test came out that my right Fallopian tubes are blocked and the left Fallopian tube are looking good. Dr Kelly told me to do laparoscopic to unblock the tubes before IVF and which i agree . Two months later, i went for my first IVF in KKH, I was told to place a deposit of $500 and than `i can start of with my IVF. The total cost of my IVF cycle cost about 2+K (CASH) and Medisave 3K (after subsidy). IDuring my IVF cycle, Dr Kelly left KKH and doing a private practice in Paragon Medical. Dr Kelly told me she handed my case to Dr Sandhana. I have a bigger hope as she is a senior consultant!!! To my high expectation about Dr Sandhana, it was a false hope!! When it was the last stage of the cycle, inserting the embryo, Dr Sandhana was late!!!! and its two hours late!! She inserted the embryo in a rushing way and told me she forget my appointment!!! Well!! i indeed pissed of!! than i waited till my result of the embryo, and the first attempt of IVF FAILED!!!! I had mensus after that.and totally dissapointed with KKH. I told myself after that it may not be my luck and gave up!! 

In 2011 end year, i found out that am pregnant naturally without any other medication or supplements!! I went to a private clinic immediately to test my urine to double confirm and yes!! the doctor says by urine test, i am pregnant. I called up Dr Kelly in Paragon Medical for an appointment a week later,. She did an ultrasound but there is no sign of the little one. She took my blood test and told me to go back. On the next day, she called up and say i had a miscarriage!! I was sad and tears!! In my heart saying, i did not have any bleeding ever since am prggy, how come Dr Kelly mention i miscarriage???!!! In a week later, i felt uneasy about the miscarriage and decided to meet a gynae near to my residence area. The gynae did a scan to and say that there is no sign of the little ones and told me to do another blood test in her clinic. She told me to go back and will let me know the result on the next day. and so i waited, the staff clinic called me on the next day amd told that my pregnancy is active!! The gynae wants to see me immediately and told me to bring along the blood test report by Paragon Medical which Mount Elizabeth who did the test). I called my gynae at Paragon Medical and requested for the report immediately!! I bring down the report to the clinic and  shows the gynae and she mention the lab test report by Paragon Medical has make a wrong blood test indication with one digit missing!! (eg: instead of IU Reading is 1121 IT STATED 121).i took both report to the Paragon Medical on the next day and ask for explanations!! Dr Kelly was furious and told me she need to do another blood test to confirm again and send me for a special ultrasound scan at Mount Elizabteth Hospital which i did. after the blood test and scan, the Dr Kelly told me to leave and will call me again till the result is out.  At abbout 5pm, i received a call from Paragon Dr Kelly and told me to report to her clinic immediately. She told me my pregnancy has confirmed as ECTOPIC Pegnancy on my left fallopian tube and have to abort it immediately. I was send to Mount Elizabeth Hospital and need to place 2K for the abortion. the abortion is not a surgery, she gave me a pill to force abort the pregnancy and two days stay in there,  After the two days, there is no sign of bleeding. A week later, am crying and had a bad pain. i called up my gynae, and she advise me to go to KK Hospital as it is nearer. I went to KK  A&E at my own and immediately admitted for laparoscopic surgery as the pregnancy is getting bigger and may make my left tube burst. The 2nd laparoscopic done smoothly and had my stay for 4days in KKH.I was discharge and promise myself to keep myself busy after this so i dont think about it anymore. and 3 months later, my first marriage came to a divorce. 

In 2014, am married with my lovely husband now...we tried again and again to have a baby, but to no news till today Sep 2015. After discussion with my hubby, i decided to meet a gynae in SGH Dr Hemashree which i did a homework research on other people blogs about her on infertility patients like me and i find that most of her patients are happy with her.

In Sep 2015, I will start of my new journey of baby making in this blog...i will make an update on my progress ever month to make me remember my hard times trying for the little one and a share on my experience to all mummies who had the same hard time like me..
